Palette playfully explores the relationship between food, art and community.
Chef Peter J. Hemsley had collaborated with Bay Area artisans to make each of his dish according to its colorful menu that takes inspiration from the seasonal bounty of our local region, as well as his deep personal history.
Part of the dinner series, a new form of elevated, experiential dining offered within the Gallery at Palette, Grains of America is made specially to tell the story of the food. Think about corn brioche and puffed grains...It is made in a very traditional technique, handmade by wood artist Johnny Arkoosh. In collaborating with Palette, Johnny got to work with a wood well known to Northern California; walnut. This serving bowls Johnny created were made using walnut that was locally sourced. This bowl offers a simple yet endless variety of decorative and functional uses around the house.
